The Morbi-based Caliber Papers will set up a 200 TPD high BF kraft paper plant supplied by JMC Paper Tech.

Caliber Papers LLP will set up a 200 TPD high BF kraft paper plant at Morbi in Gujarat. The company will install a high BF single wire MF (machine finished) machine with a size press. Caliber Papers intends to upgrade the paper machine to top wire in future.

The machine’s deckle size is 4100 mm and is designed to run at a speed of 450 MPM (maximum operating speed is 400 MPM). The raw material used for the production will be OCC, NDLKC and KCC.
As informed to Paper Mart, Mr. Alpesh Bhalodiya, Director, Caliber Papers LLP told that the estimated cost of the project is INR 50 crore. The plant’s erection and installation is under full swing and Caliber Papers expects to go for commercial production from October 2021.
JMC Paper Tech Private Limited will supply a partial pulp mill section, a complete paper machine section — while the finishing equipment and other equipments (electrifications, boilers, pumps, etc) are client scope.

Before stepping into the paper industry, Caliber Paper’s management team was involved in the AAC blocks manufacturing industry known as M/S. Pravin Buildtech Pvt. Ltd. The company’s workforce includes over 200 skilled and unskilled personnel.
