TribeKraft, ITC’s new offering, is specially designed for replacing plastic pouches used in e-commerce deliveries. It can be easily recycled, without any need for additional treatment, making it an eco-friendly alternative.

Over the years, ITC Ltd. – Paperboards & Specialty Papers Division has developed several new products and variants to meet industry-specific & customers’ needs. The latest edition to its portfolio is TribeKraft.
Made from 100 percent unbleached virgin fibers, TribeKraft is specially designed for replacing plastic pouches used in e-commerce deliveries. It can be easily recycled, without any need for additional treatment, making it an eco-friendly option.

TribeKraft comes with high-strength properties; it has an excellent burst factor, good tear strength, high tensile strength, and good paper elongation. Some of the other features of the product include:
- Excellent printing – suitable for Offset as well as Gravure printing;
- Excellent glueability;
- Suitable for heat seal coating; and
- Can be offered with FSC® certification.
TribeKraft is available in the GSM range of 68,70, and 80. Some other products introduced under this umbrella include TribeKraft T (50 & 55 GSM) which is used as the base for water-activated gum tapes and TribeKraft C (82 & 100 GSM), an unbleached release base paper.

The product was launched three months after India imposed a ban on single-use plastics (SUPs) to tackle plastic waste and pollution. The ban includes almost 21 SUP items including plastic bags, packaging films, and cigarette packets.
