Water Conservation to Clarify the Reject of Centricleaner Effluent

  • The latest technology Sedicell is based on Sedimentation cum flotation technology
  • With the combined use of Sedicell and Spray Filter, consumption of water is reduced to almost 10 m3/tonne of paper
  • A successful installation has been done in Bindal Paper, Muzaffarnagar to arrest the dead fiber coming out of the centricleaners of paper machine

Krofta Engineering Limited, global leaders in Water and waste effluent management, is providing solutions with its advance technology for over the last two decades and have achieved commendable results in REDUCTION of WATER consumption in paper industries at various sources and giving directions to the industry to take steps towards closed water circulation system and zero discharge which is the rising demand of the industry and recommended by CPCB and CPPRI.

Krofta Engineering’s latest technology development called Sedicell, based on Sedimentation cum flotation technology, has given enormous positive results in the paper industry. With the combined use of Sedicell and Spray Filter, consumption of water is reduced to almost 10 m3/tonne of paper. Almost 300 mills are using closed water circulation system recommended by Krofta in India and abroad.

A successful installation has been done in Bindal Paper, Muzaffarnagar to arrest the dead fiber coming out of the centricleaners of paper machine which has got a consistency of almost 1 + 0.5%. The fiber along with plastics and dead materials are being passed through a hill slide screen followed by Krofta Sedicell which gives a clear water of 30-50 ppm and this clarified water is used back in the pulp mill which normally otherwise is being drained out by many mills in India. This is a another positive step towards water conservation and reuse and is the result of a thought process by the experienced technologists of Krofta. This same application is now being installed in another mill to stop the drainage of centricleaners.
